about Nina

Nina Lee is an artist from Calgary, Alberta, Canada who transitioned from a career as a Professional Engineer in the energy sector to pursue painting full-time. Though she began drawing at a young age, her passion for painting developed later, shaping a bold and contemporary practice.

Her work features fractured interpretations of landscapes and figures , using hard-edge forms and unconventional color palettes. Inspired by the Canadian Rockies and her travels, Nina creates vibrant pieces that invite viewers to experience a sense of connection and joy.

Outside the studio, she is a busy mom of two boys, often spending her time staying active or enjoying good company - preferably with a glass of bubbles in hand.
